A Unified Look for Hire

Hire's recruiter interface moves to Fountain's shared design system.

Fountain's products were built at different times and each carried its own palette, so a customer using more than one saw two design languages. Every new surface inherited whichever one it started from, and the gap widened.

What's new

• A shared color — buttons, links, focus rings and selected rows move from Hire's blue to Fountain's indigo, the palette the workforce products already use.

• Better contrast — the primary interactive color improves from 5.10:1 to 6.29:1 against white, and borders on tinted backgrounds go from 1.43:1 to 5.62:1, which takes them from nearly invisible to clearly defined.

• Clearer status labels — the Action status label's normal and hover states were almost identical, and are now distinct.

Why it matters

Borders at 1.43:1 were a real accessibility problem, particularly on lower quality monitors and in bright environments. Standardising on one system fixes that, and stops Hire and the workforce products looking like two tools that happen to share a login.

What to expect

This is presentation only. Layouts, navigation, tables and workflows are unchanged, and applicant facing pages keep the brand color configured for them. The change reaches every account without anything to turn on, and you will see it in Hire within the next week. Screenshots in your own training material and documentation will show the old color, so a refresh pass is worth planning.
