New Filters and Columns in the Universal Applicant View

AUTHOR: The Fountain team

The cross-opening applicant table gains the filters recruiters actually work in, so it becomes the place to work rather than a report to configure.

Getting a cross-opening view of your own applicants meant hand-building a saved filter, which was tedious to set up and went stale the moment a new opening was assigned to you. Narrowing the table by workflow, by region, or by brand was not possible at all, so a lead recruiter covering several sites had to approximate it by hand.

See how it works:

What's new

  • My Applicants — a toggle at the left of the toolbar, mirroring My Openings on the Openings page. Turn it on for your applicants, off for everything you can access. Nothing to build, and it stays correct the day a new opening is assigned to you.

  • Filter by workflow — a panel listing every workflow with how many openings use it and how many stages it has. Expand one to pick its stages, and select stages across different workflows at once. Workflows and stages combine so that an applicant matches on either.

  • Filter by location — the same pattern, with each location group showing how many locations it holds. Expand a group to pick individual sites, or take the whole group.

  • Filter by brand — a flat list showing how many openings each brand is assigned to, with a No brand option so openings with none can still be found.

  • Screen on an assessment score — Assessment Score joins the categories under Filter by Applicant Data, and is available as a column you can sort. Because an assessment's total depends on how many questions it holds, the score is shown as a percentage, so a five-question form and a twenty-question form can be compared on the same scale.

  • Screen on an interview score — AI Interview Score is a category in the same place, on the interview's own scale, so a screening team can narrow the table by interview result. Both score rules can be combined with each other and with any other applicant data.

  • Location column — shows the location attached to the opening the applicant is currently in.

Why it matters

A recruiter working across many openings can open the table, switch on My Applicants, and see their pipeline with no setup and no maintenance. Layered with workflow, stage, location, brand and the two score filters, screening moves out of individual applicant profiles and into one list, which is where high-volume teams would rather do it.

What to expect

The new workflow, location and brand controls apply for your current session and clear when you sign out. The existing filters for jobs and for applicant data are unchanged, sit alongside the new ones, and can still be saved for reuse, which includes the two score filters. Assessment Score filters on the percentage rather than the raw points, so a rule set to greater than 70 returns applicants who scored above 70 percent. It is also one value per applicant, taken from their most recently completed assessment form across all openings and stages, so an applicant assessed in two openings shows a single score. Where an opening has no brand assigned, the value stays empty rather than falling back to an account default.
