New in Hire | Improve translation accuracy with custom terminology

DATE:
AUTHOR: The Fountain team

You can now upload custom terminology in Hire to ensure key terms are translated correctly across your hiring workflows.

This helps maintain consistency and accuracy for job titles, equipment names, and industry-specific language.

What’s new

Upload custom terminology files
Admins can upload a CSV file in Company Settings → Translation Settings to define preferred translations for specific terms

One file for all languages
A single file applies across all supported language pairs, so there’s no need to manage separate files

Automatically applied across Hire
Custom terminology is used in dynamic translations across job descriptions, questions, and messaging

Easy updates
Uploading a new file replaces the existing one instantly with no downtime

Why it matters

Generic translations can miss important context, especially in specialized industries. Custom terminology ensures candidates see accurate, professional language, reducing confusion and improving the overall application experience.

Where to find it

This update is available in Hire in:

  • Company Settings → Translation Settings

Rollout details

This feature will begin rolling out on March 19, 2026 and may be available first in sandbox environments for Enterprise customers before expanding more broadly.
