Connect Microsoft 365, Notion and Asana to Cue
Cue reaches Microsoft 365, Notion and Asana, bringing mail, calendars, messages, files, project pages and tasks into the conversation you are already in.
Cue worked with Fountain data alone. Anything that lived in mail, a calendar, a chat, a document or a project tracker had to be found separately and carried across by hand, and that is exactly the context which explains what should happen next.
What's new
Microsoft 365 — one connector covering Outlook mail and calendar, Teams messages, and SharePoint and OneDrive files.
Notion and Asana — retrieve Notion pages and databases, and Asana projects and tasks, on demand.
Connect your own account — sign in through each provider, review the permissions requested, and grant access without sharing a password with Fountain.
Your existing access still governs — Cue can only see and do what you could already do yourself in each tool, and the provider enforces that.
Take approved actions — where your organization has enabled write actions in Microsoft 365, Cue can send Outlook email, create or update calendar events, and send Teams messages. Asana supports approved task and project writes, and Notion supports creating pages, comments, page copies, text attachments, databases, folders and views.
Nothing is copied in advance — Cue reads only when a question or an action needs it.
Why it matters
Hiring and workforce teams plan work where the rest of the company plans work, and the context that explains a decision usually sits in a thread, a document or a ticket. Reaching it from Cue removes the copying step in both directions, without moving any of it into Fountain. Governance stays where it belongs: your administrator approves access, each person connects individually, and each provider enforces what that person can already do.
What to expect
Microsoft 365 setup is not self serve. A Microsoft administrator completes the tenant level prerequisites and approves access before anyone can connect, and write actions can take up to 24 hours to become available after that policy changes. Saving a file to OneDrive or SharePoint whose name already exists creates a renamed copy rather than overwriting. In Notion and Asana, the tools that edit, move or delete existing content are deliberately held back, so every write creates something new, and Cue cannot place a file it has generated into Notion; it can create a text note, or attach a file from a public link.
