Choose Your Reverification Methods in I-9 Center

Choose which reverification methods your organization offers when a worker's work-authorization document expires.

Remote reverification was a single on or off setting, so an employer that accepts some methods but not others could not say so.

What's new

• Pick your methods — admins choose which reverification methods workers are offered: Authorized Representative, on-site or live video. Authorized Representative can be left out entirely.

• Remote completion for workers — when Authorized Representative is enabled, the worker's reverification page offers it, and the worker finishes reverification remotely without an office visit.

• Status in one place — completion is reflected in I-9 Center automatically, with an audit trail, so admins do not have to chase status.

• Existing settings carry over — customers already using the previous remote reverification setting keep their current behavior.

Why it matters

Workers with an expiring document can reverify without getting to an office, and employers decide which methods they accept.
