Do-Not-Contact Flagging in Pool

DATE:
AUTHOR: The Fountain team

Talent can now be marked do not contact by hand, one at a time or in bulk, and Pool honors it across campaign sends.

Keeping a specific person out of campaigns meant remembering to exclude them, every time, in every audience. It worked right up until someone forgot, and there was no way to record the decision on the person themselves.

What's new

  • Mark talent do not contact from the talent list — Select one person or several, then mark them as do not contact. The action is also available on an individual row.

  • Honored on send — A flagged person is kept out of campaign sends rather than relying on whoever builds the next audience to remember.

  • Visible where you work — Flagged talent are held with the other ineligible talent, and can be shown or hidden on the Talent page.

Why it matters

Someone asking not to be contacted is a commitment that has to outlast staff changes, new audiences, and campaigns built months later. Recording it on the person rather than in somebody's memory is the difference between a policy and an intention.

What to expect

This is a talent-level exclusion, and it is separate from per-channel eligibility such as SMS consent and email unsubscribe. Existing audiences and campaigns are unaffected until a talent is flagged.

Availability
