Coming Soon in Hire Go | board view and bulk actions for hiring managers

DATE:
AUTHOR: The Fountain team

Hiring managers see the workflow at a glance and act on multiple applicants in one move.

Hire Go is gaining a new workflow-stage board view plus bulk applicant actions, both designed for hiring-manager workflows inside an opening. Managers can see how applicants are distributed across stages, identify who needs manual review, and reject or advance multiple applicants without clicking through them one by one.

What’s new

  • A new Applicants Board view that lays out an opening’s stages and the applicants in each one, including a count per stage and a flag for applicants who need manual action.

  • Bulk reject and disposition actions for applicants in eligible stages, controlled by the existing stage-level permission for rejection.

  • Bulk advance to the next stage, available when the user has advance permission and selected applicants share the same current stage.

  • Visibility into each applicant’s status within a stage — useful for screening backlog reviews.

Why it matters

Hiring managers spend the most time on the routine path of an opening: triage, reject obvious mismatches, and advance the clear candidates. Doing that one-by-one is expensive on busy openings. The board view plus bulk actions cut that time and let managers focus on the candidates who actually need a decision.

What to expect

  • The board view appears on existing openings where the workflow is configured for manager use.

  • Bulk advance is constrained to applicants in the same current stage; cross-stage bulk moves are not in scope for this release.

  • Cross-opening bulk moves are not supported in this release.

  • Permission rules (who can reject, who can advance) are inherited from existing workflow settings — no separate permissions to configure.
