Setup Assistant Checklist for New Customers
New customers get one checklist for their whole account setup, drafted by Fountain and reviewed together.
Setup ran on kickoff calls, task lists and handoff documents, and customers had no single place in Fountain showing what was done and what was still waiting.
What's new
Ask Fountain to draft your account — an admin requests a draft, and the steps appear in the checklist as they are built.
One checklist for the whole setup — steps are grouped into six sections: Company & Account, Product Setup, Hiring Experience, Access & Operations, Integrations & Compliance and Readiness. Each step shows its value, how it was created and who it is waiting on.
Review together — admins validate steps, with their name and the date recorded, edit values, add their own items, and leave shared notes for the Fountain team.
See how each step was drafted — an explanation shows the reasoning behind each step, including what was flagged for review or deliberately left alone.
Bring your data — admins add their careers site and their EIN and legal details directly from the checklist.
Access that follows role — admins can manage the checklist, auditors get a read-only view, and recruiters do not see it.
Your decisions are protected — when Fountain refreshes a draft, steps you have validated, edited, added or archived are left as they are.
Why it matters
Customers start from an account that is already drafted rather than a blank one, and everyone sees the same view of what is done and what is left. Every remaining step names who it is waiting on, so the steps holding up go-live are clear.
What to expect
Nothing goes live until the customer reviews it. This first release does not import data from another ATS or HRIS; connecting an ATS or HRIS and uploading an export come in a later release. Fountain turns the checklist on customer by customer.
