Bulk Update Openings with a CSV
Update many existing openings at once by editing a CSV of your openings and uploading it.
Changing pay, hours, deadlines, external titles or attributes across many openings meant editing them one at a time, building against the API, or asking Support to do it.
What's new
Start from your live openings — request a copy of your existing openings, which is emailed to you as a CSV, edit it in any spreadsheet tool, and upload it with Upload Opening Updates via CSV under Bulk edit actions.
Update the fields that change most — title and external title, status, application deadline, pay and pay visibility, job type, job hours, job industry, and sourcing and hiring designations.
Opening attributes in the same file — add a column named exactly like an existing attribute, and each value is checked against the attribute's type.
Row-by-row checks — a row that would activate an opening without a required active hiring goal, hide pay where it must be shown, or touch an opening you can't access is rejected with a reason, and the other rows still apply.
Results by email — Fountain applies the changes in the background and emails a report with the number of openings updated and any rows that need attention.
Why it matters
Bulk changes that used to wait on Support or engineering work take one upload, so openings stay accurate when pay, hours or deadlines change across a region.
What to expect
Only users with the Bulk edit permission see the option. Creating openings, hiring goals and fields outside the list above are not part of this tool. If an opening approval rule applies, a change to a live opening is sent for approval before it takes effect. Start from a fresh copy, change only the cells you mean to change, remove the rows you aren't updating, and try two or three rows first.
