Campaign publishing status and a streamlined campaign experience in Source
Source now shows exactly where each campaign is in its lifecycle, including a new Publishing status, in a cleaner, easier-to-scan campaign view.
Previously, when you posted a job to Fountain’s marketplace network, the boards took a few hours to process it before it appeared to candidates, but that processing window happened behind the scenes with no indication in the product, so it could look like nothing was happening after you posted.
What’s new
New “Publishing” status — as soon as you post, a Publishing badge appears next to the channel on the Opening Details page, confirming the job was submitted and is being processed by the boards.
Automatic switch to “Active” — once the boards confirm the job is live, the status updates to Active on its own — the point at which candidates can see and apply.
Budget protected during publishing — campaign budget is only consumed once the campaign is Active; the publishing window never counts against your spend.
Status at a glance — every campaign shows a clear badge: Publishing, Active, Paused, Scheduled, or Completed.
Simpler setup — redundant campaign-level target fields (Applicants, Cost per Applicant, Cost per Hire) have been removed so you can launch faster with less clutter.
Cleaner campaign UI — the campaign section on the Opening Details page has been refreshed for a more scannable layout.
Why it matters
Posting to 2,000+ job boards involves a processing delay that used to leave recruiters guessing whether a campaign had actually launched. Surfacing the Publishing and Active states — and guaranteeing budget isn’t spent until a campaign is truly live — removes that uncertainty and builds confidence that spend maps to real candidate visibility.
