Coming Soon in Platform | Cross EIN rehiring
Workers associated with different EINs are now matched separately, so rehiring logic respects your legal entity boundaries.
Cross EIN rehiring updates how Fountain handles worker matching when your organization spans multiple EINs or legal contexts. When enabled, workers tied to different EINs are treated as distinct individuals, and matching only proceeds when both EINs — and, if configured, Workbright domains — align. This prevents unintended rehires across separate legal entities.
What's new
EIN-aware rehire matching: workers linked to different EINs are not automatically matched as rehires when cross EIN rehiring is enabled.
Domain compatibility gate: if Workbright domains are configured, matching only occurs between workers on the same Workbright domain.
Fallback logic: when no Workbright domains are present, the system falls back to EIN matching alone.
Why it matters
Organizations managing multiple EINs — such as separate subsidiaries or regional legal entities — need rehiring decisions to stay within the correct legal context. This update prevents workers from one EIN appearing as matches for positions under a different EIN, reducing compliance risk and incorrect rehire flags.
What to expect
Requires enablement by Fountain — contact your Customer Success team to get started.
If your organization uses Workbright domains, those take precedence over EIN matching.
Workers without an explicit domain assignment fall back to the default domain.
