Consolidated Rehire View in the I-9 and W-4 Center
Someone hired more than once now occupies a single row in the I-9 and W-4 Center, with every earlier profile grouped behind it.
A person hired several times could hold several worker profiles, and each profile claimed its own row with a rehire flag beside it. At any scale that made the table hard to read, and it left admins guessing which of several rows was the profile they should actually be working on.
What's new
One row per person — Profiles for the same person are grouped, and a number in brackets after the name shows how many I-9s that person has.
Current and historical, separated — Opening a form shows every profile for that person, grouped by I-9 and split into a current section and the historical ones. The active profile is listed first.
State on each group — A group reads as in progress or historical, so it is clear at a glance which one is live.
A route back to the current profile — An older profile carries a notice that a more recent I-9 exists, with a link straight to it.
A cleaner working view — The table stops filling with duplicate rows for the same person, and it becomes obvious where an I-9 came from.
Why it matters
For an employer rehiring at volume, the I-9 and W-4 Center got harder to use the more it was used. Grouping a person's profiles and labelling which is current answers the question admins used to answer by inspection: which record do I act on? It also keeps every historical form exactly where an audit would look for it.
What to expect
Nothing is removed. Every active profile and form stays available through the grouped view, and historical records are retained. Search and filtering behave as before.
