Recruiters can now search for applicants using custom data keys (ex: lemployee IDs, tax IDs, or certification numbers), giving teams the flexibility to find candidates using the unique identifiers that matter most to their business.

Key Capabilities

Custom search fields: Go beyond name, email, and phone with your own business-specific identifiers.
Admin control: Choose up to 3 custom data keys to make searchable.
Account + sub-account support: Configure unique keys at both parent and sub-account levels.
Fast retrieval: Quickly locate candidates during high-volume hiring events or internal mobility processes.

Why It Matters

Many organizations rely on unique identifiers like government IDs, employee codes, or vendor reference numbers. Until now, recruiters couldn’t search by these fields in Fountain. With custom data key search, recruiters can:

• Find candidates instantly at hiring events.

• Track internal applicants by employee ID or referral code.

• Search by certification/license numbers in regulated industries.

• Keep workflows consistent without messy workarounds.

This update reduces recruiter effort and saves time, especially when managing large applicant volumes.

Who Can Use It

Available to all Hire customers - reach out to your CSM to activate.

After your CSM has activated, admins can enable the feature in Company Settings → Applicant Search Settings by selecting up to 3 custom data keys.
