New in Hire | auto-advance applicants based on interview attendance

Automatically move applicants forward when they attend their interview.

You can now configure scheduler stages in Hire to automatically advance applicants to the next stage when they’re marked as “Attended,” removing the need for manual follow-up.

What’s new

• New setting to automatically move applicants to the next stage when marked as “Attended”

• Works whether attendance is marked in the UI or through post-interview notifications

• Applies only to applicants marked as “Attended” (no change for missed interviews)

• Applicants will still advance correctly even if they’ve been moved between stages

Why it matters

Recruiters no longer need to manually review and advance attended applicants, which reduces delays and keeps hiring workflows moving, especially in high-volume environments.

What to expect

• This setting is configured at the scheduler stage level and must be enabled where needed

• No changes to your workflow unless the setting is turned on

• Existing attendance tracking behavior remains the same

Availability

Release type: New feature
This feature rolls out in phases, starting in sandbox for enterprise customers before moving to production.

Enterprise accounts:

• Available in sandbox first

• Will be released to production after a short validation period

Non-enterprise accounts:

• Available now in production

If your account includes a sandbox environment, you may see this update there before it’s available in production.
