New in Hire: Streamlined Tech Check
What’s new
The Tech Check stage has been simplified to focus only on internet speed testing. With recent browser privacy and security changes limiting accurate access to device details, we’ve removed outdated checks that no longer worked reliably.
Why it matters
This update improves the candidate experience by removing inaccurate rejection points. Candidates will only need to pass the internet speed test to move forward, helping more qualified applicants continue through the process without unnecessary blockers.
How it works
Tech Check now evaluates only upload and download speed
In the applicant portal, candidates will see only internet speed results
In the applicant profile, recruiters will see upload and download speed results (other device details such as browser version, OS, RAM, CPU, and screen resolution are no longer displayed)
Existing rules and configurations remain unchanged — no action required
