New in Platform | Navigation update: streamlined left sidebar

We’re updating the left navigation to create a cleaner, more focused experience across Fountain products.

This change removes rarely used items, relocates others to Settings, and introduces the unified navigation experience to Hire-only accounts.

What’s changing

Frequently used items remain
Core navigation items such as Locations and Jobs will continue to appear in the left sidebar.

Some items move to Settings
Segments will now be accessed through Settings.

Unused items are removed
Worker Portal and Notifications will no longer appear in the left navigation.

Unified navigation for Hire-only accounts
Hire-only accounts will begin seeing the standard left navigation experience.

What this means for your team

• The left navigation layout will change

• Some items will appear in new locations

• No data, permissions, or workflow logic is changing

• No configuration updates are required

We recommend informing internal users ahead of the update so they are aware of the new navigation structure.

Rollout details

This update will roll out in Q1.

Enterprise customers may see the update in Sandbox before it is enabled in Production. Production activation will follow standard release timing.
