New in Pool | Applicant Data Keys
We’ve expanded how applicant data is used in Pool.
Applicant data keys (custom attributes collected during application) are now fully integrated across audience filters, talent profiles, campaign personalization, and Match Score.
What’s new in Pool
Audience filtering using applicant data
You can now build audiences using the same application data you already collect in Hire.
In Pool audience filters:
In-use applicant data keys appear by title (for example, “Can Lift 70 Lbs” instead of system key names)
Filters support type-appropriate operators (string, number, boolean, date, multi-select, etc.)
Audiences can be saved with one or more applicant data filters applied
This allows more precise segmentation based on real application responses.
Unified “talent custom attributes” picker
Worker, prospect, and applicant attributes are now consolidated into a single “talent custom attributes” dropdown.
This simplifies filtering across talent types and ensures existing audiences continue to work seamlessly.
Clear primary value when multiple records exist
If a talent has multiple entries for the same attribute, Pool now defaults to the most recently updated value as the primary value for:
Audience filtering
Dynamic campaign personalization
This ensures consistency across targeting and messaging.
Match Score now includes applicant data
Applicant data key responses are now included as inputs into Match Score.
For example:
Screening question responses
Job-specific qualification questions
Structured application data
This helps Match Score better reflect real candidate signals when ranking talent.
How applicant data is now used in Pool
Applicant data supports four core workflows:
1. Audience creation
Segment talent using application responses, internal ratings, or screening outcomes.
2. Talent profile enrichment
View applicant custom attributes directly on Talent Profiles for better visibility into available data.
3. Campaign personalization
Use dynamic fields referencing unified “talent” attributes across worker, prospect, and applicant records.
4. Match Score enrichment
Improve ranking accuracy by incorporating application responses and structured qualification data.
Customer impact
These updates help teams:
Build higher-quality, more precise audiences
Retarget past applicants using meaningful qualification signals
Personalize outreach using application data
Improve candidate prioritization with stronger match inputs
For recruitment marketing teams, this means more relevant messaging and stronger conversion potential.
Who this is for
Pool users building audiences and running recruitment marketing campaigns, especially customers whose Pool talent profiles primarily contain applicant records.
Availability
This update went GA on February 27, 2026 and is available to all Pool customers.
No feature flag or manual activation is required.
