New in Source & Pool | Budget Automations and Campaign Improvements
Over the past month, we’ve introduced new automation and workflow improvements across Source and Pool to help teams protect budgets, reduce manual effort, and streamline campaign setup.
What’s new in Source
Automatic budget management
Campaigns can now automatically pause when the hiring target budget reaches 100%, and automatically resume if the budget is increased.
Users also receive early warning indicators at 80% of budget usage.
Improved spend visibility
We now display a clear breakdown of:
Actual Spend
Committed Spend
This helps clarify spend on channels where funds are locked upfront.
Lock indicator for non-pausable channels
Certain channels (such as ZipRecruiter and Boost) display a lock icon to indicate funds cannot be paused, refunded, or reallocated mid-campaign.
Hiring goal automation
When a hiring goal period ends, eligible integrated campaigns automatically pause to prevent unnecessary spend.
When a new hiring goal is created, users are prompted to resume relevant paused campaigns.
Global automation controls
A new Settings page in Source allows admins to toggle budget, funnel, and hiring automations on or off across openings.
Actionable recommendations
Recommendation cards now include direct call-to-action buttons, allowing users to act on performance suggestions immediately.
What’s new in Pool
Quick-copy for campaigns
Users can now copy the Audience and Message from one opening to all other openings within a campaign in a single click.
Personalized outreach with merge keys
Pool campaigns now support dynamic merge keys (such as Candidate First Name and Email) in email and SMS messages for more personalized communication.
Customer impact
These updates help teams:
Prevent accidental overspending on integrated channels
Better understand committed vs. flexible spend
Reduce time spent manually monitoring budgets
Streamline campaign setup across multiple openings
Improve candidate engagement with personalized messaging
Who this is for: Sourcing Managers, Recruiters, and Admins using Source and Pool.
Availability
These updates have been rolled out over the past month and are now live for applicable Source and Pool customers.
Behavior notes
Integrated channels will auto-pause at 100% budget or when a hiring goal ends.
Non-pausable channels will display committed spend and a lock indicator.
Non-integrated channels require manual pausing.
Quick-copy in Pool must be triggered manually.
