Source Counts Each Opening in Its Own Time Zone

DATE:
AUTHOR: The Fountain team

Date-range numbers in Source count each opening's days in the opening location's time zone, so everyone sees the same numbers for the same opening.

Source counted every opening in the viewer's time zone, so activity near midnight could land on the wrong day, and colleagues in different offices could see different numbers for the same opening.

What's new

  • Opening details — shows the time zone it counts in, and the date picker shows that each day runs from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM there.

  • Hiring goals — show start and end times with their time zone.

  • Campaign cards — show each campaign's window in the opening's time zone.

  • Portfolio metrics and All Campaigns — add up each opening's or campaign's days in its own time zone, with the zone shown on every row.

  • Nothing dropped — an opening whose location has no time zone counts in UTC and says so.

Why it matters

Numbers are consistent for every viewer and match each opening's real working day.

What to expect

Date-filtered numbers can differ from what the same range showed before, because days follow each opening's time zone. The opening's location always decides the time zone; you can't choose a different one to view in.
